the brake pads are the part that go into the caliper which make you stop when you pull on the brakes. The pads on the bike now are a little worn out, so new ones are a good option. Let me know if you have anymore questions or if you would like to come see the bike.

I cant tell you 100% as I am just trying to sell for a friend, but the bike is ready to ride in its current state. Has new derailleur cables, brakes have been bled, wheels have be tensioned, gears have been adjusted, etc. Only thing it could use is new brake pads, which I can include for my asking price.
